In addition to railway transport, we also use trucks to supply our sugar to our customers. These trucks meet high technological standards. They are fuel efficient and are outfitted with the latest exhaust-treatment systems and particle filters. This enables us to lower greenhouse gas emissions, including nitric oxide, and the release of fine particulate matter into the environment. Swiss Sugar is also in the process of testing electric trucks and alternative fuels such as HVO100. We expect these to play an ever greater role in the future.
