Swiss Sugar AG is committed to expanding its use of railways to transport its products. Around one-third of our sugar is currently transported to our customers by rail. Given that railway transport is very energy efficient and is powered by renewable electricity, the greenhouse-gas emissions, including nitric oxide, and the release of fine particulate matter associated with it are lower.
