Swiss Sugar AG is committed to expanding its use of railway transport. We currently transport around half of our sugar beets to our refineries by rail. Given that the rail transport is powered by renewable electricity and highly energy efficient, our commitment helps us to significantly lower our greenhouse gas emissions compared to road transport.
