Utilization of waste heat

The wood-fired CHP plants generate large amounts of waste heat during the processing stages. Wherever possible, the refineries recover this heat and reuse it for their own processes. Any heat that they do not need themselves is fed into a district heating network and made available to third parties for other purposes. For example, nearby residential areas are heated using the waste heat from the two plants. This saves heating energy and lowers the environmental impact of heat production.
