Moreover, this feat is to be accomplished while covering at least 50 percent of domestic demand. The AgroImpact Association was founded in 2023 to help growers meet the challenges of climate change. AgroImpact\u2019s aim is to promote climate-protection initiatives among Swiss growers and to make their contributions more visible (agroimpact.ch). Swiss Sugar AG has been an active member of the association since the beginning of 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Text\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Growers who participate in AgroImpact calculate their carbon footprints and then draft customized action plans for reducing their greenhouse gas emissions and\/or increasing the amounts of their carbon capture and storage. Growers who succeed in reducing their carbon footprints can earn vouchers for specific crops.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">Companies in other sectors that buy products certified by AgroImpact then effectively pay for the vouchers held by the growers.
